The ERC 2025 Synergy Grant call (ERC-2025-SyG) was published on 11 July 2024. The call is expected to remain open until 6 November 2024. It is planned to provide funding of up to 10-14 million € per project and to support a total of 48 projects.
The call aims to bring together the complementary skills, knowledge, and resources of at least two and at most four principal investigators to address ambitious scientific questions. Principal investigators are expected to present groundbreaking project ideas and demonstrate the feasibility of their projects.
There is no requirement for principal investigators to be from different countries or institutions. As long as they combine different skills, they can even apply from the same host institution. Additionally, it is possible to fund the project if at most one of the principal investigators is from a third country (a non-EU member or associated country), such as the USA, Australia, or Japan etc.

The TÜBİTAK ERC Principal Investigator Development Program (EBAG) continues to accept applications for this call. The application deadline for EBAG support is 23 September 2024.
